It's fun, but...

It's fun, but it's nothing at all new. This game has been made over and over again, and doesn't introduce a whole lot of anything new. What it does introduce is a stronger background image, which is a good touch, but unfortunately, it slows down my PC to the point where even some of the earlier levels are nearly unplayable.

So it's good, but not groundbreaking.

Nuggs responds:

sorry, it almost froze your comp, but did you try changing the quality?

Wow.

Send my regards to my fellow front-page bretheren. Because it seems that's straight to where you're going.

Ah, very nicely done.

This one made me laugh. Very cute, and awesome visuals. Reminds me of a similar game I played where you're a guy in a suit, and you punch through walls. Don't remember what that was called, but this one plays just like it.

I remember when I did my own Flash game around the Zidane headbutt. Definitely a comedy goldmine, there (you might've seen mine, a little thing called Head Blast). I also remember seeing this one on the front page of AddictingGames. Really wanted to comment on how nicely polished I thought it was, and now I finally get the chance to. Awesome work here, dude. Killer intro, too.

Plus points for physics, but none for objective.

So it is a ride simulator, true to its name. But it just doesn't seem to have that "purpose" ya know. I can make it go spinning wildly if I want to, or I can keep it tame, but either way, there isn't a consequence or reward for either. So, I'd call it the start of some element of a game, but it definitely has the potential and necessity to be expanded to make it into a truely immersive gaming experience.

spankmonker420

Spankmonker420, you idiot, if it doesn't load, complain about your own piece of crap computer instead of tarnish this game with a negative review. It's not THEIR fault you suck.

This is a high quality game with very solid everything. Plays much like WarioWare. Now, if only there could be some way to implement the mouse (aka my wacom) in a similarly styled game.

Excellent work on this. 5/5.

It's great, but not for the right reasons.

Graphics: Unfortunately, I have to give graphics a zero simply because they aren't your's.

Style: It plays like Megaman, but really souped down. As a Flash game goes, it's extensive and handles well, but in comparison to Megaman, it doesn't have the same polished flair as the other more recent Capcom titles. I like the ability to customize controls.

Sound: I don't play Flash games with the sound on, mostly because my speakers are a bit bonkers. Also, 90 percent of submissions to this site use lame Emo tracks that usually result in a brick being thrown through my speakers.

Violence: I always skip explaining such a superficial judging physic.

Interactivity: Spot. On. It has the feel and playability that I would expect from a Megaman series. Full marks for making a solid piece of code.

Humor: See violence.

Overall: Half of every Flash animation is graphics and animation, and seeing as this game uses neither of your own creation, I cannot attribute half the score towards that. Instead, I'll dwell on the programming, gameplay, and story. The story is odd, I have difficulty following it, but then again, I don't play Flash games to experience a jawdropping plot. Programming is thorough, effective, and is solid. This is a phenomenal Flash game, only if the visuals were of your own creation. Regardless, I expect this one to score really well, and was at least entertained while playing it.

Technically sound, but gameplay lacking.

The thing with this one is that it's a solid piece of programming with a good visual palette, but unfortunately, the gameplay is really frustrating. You can't even see where you're jumping most of the time, so you just fall down. That screen scroll really needs to be fixed, as it is the only reason why this game isn't fun, but simply frustrating. It's playing blind.

The game also lacks objective. Am I supposed to collect all those balls, just get to the other end? What is the point of those balls, anyway? What direction am I supposed to go? Can I at least shoot something instead of just dodge, dodge, hop, dodge?

I'm sure this game will be preserved, because the scripting and visuals are definitely on par with what is expected. However, I won't expect this game to score that well, simply because of that screen scrolling issue.

One huge flaw.

Something I notice when people try to make hybirds such as this is that they'll take on two separate genres of game, and think that they can pass it off as a good game if it's two half-baked games in one. Unfortunately, this logic doesn't work. The soundboard and dressup are both tired concept, and this one doesn't even scratch the surface of immersion that is required to even make a decent one of either. Wardrobe selection is very limitted, and not even relevant to the series. I would like to have seen some artwork that is from the show, and actually carries the same quality of art as Bender himself.

So I'll put it frankly like this. You can't take a half-done game, another half of a game, and put them together to make a whole. It just becomes two unfinished games sitting next to one another.

Par.

It's worth preserving, but that's about all I can say about it. Gameplay wise it's very limitted, and the whole experience is gotten in less than a minute. Graphics are pretty good. Nicely polished for the whale. Not so much for the harpoons. And that's about it there. Very simple programming, and a very simple concept result in a very short-lived, but still pleasant experience.

Final Grade: C

I seriously hope this makes front page.

Attention NG overlords, overseers, mother-brains, and alpha males. PUT THIS ON THE FRONT PAGE.

The next time I see somebody do some half-assed piece of Gigli stick-figure rubbish, I can just throw this at his face and say "DON'T YOU PAY ATTENTION TO ANYTHING YA NO-TALENT STICKY-FINGA'D PORK BODY!?"

Best thing about this tutorial? No music. No music! NOOOO MUUSIIIC! *Dances around in underpants* This makes me SOOOO happy! Finally, somebody makes a tutorial that tells people to have some damn sense in their work, and is so elaborate, there is no excuse for crap anymore. Seriously. There isn't.
